ComReg Introduces Harmonised Services of Social Value using the national "116" Number Range

The Commission of the European Communities recently published a decision to provide Harmonised Services of Social Value across EU Member States using the 6 digit number range beginning 116xyz.To facilitate the introduction of these new harmonised services in Ireland, ComReg has reserved the entire number range beginning ‘116’ for such services. ComReg awards consultancy contracts

ComReg wishes to announce that it has awarded four contracts to three sets of consultants, for consultancy services advising on eircom's proposed structural separation. The total value of all four contracts awarded is 712,846 euro. Oxera/Ellare has been appointed to advise on the operational impact of separation. LECG has been appointed to advise on two areas, strategic issues and regulatory pricing/accounting separation. IBI Corporate Finance has been retained to advise on corporate finance issues
