Market Framework is responsible for:

• Managing the general authorisation regime for the electronic communications sector in Ireland and monitoring compliance with general authorisation conditions.
• Managing the radio spectrum and annually renewing approximately 15,000 Wireless Telegraphy licence’s to various operators, public bodies, private companies and individuals. 
• Administering Ireland's National Numbering Plan
• Regulating the postal sector in Ireland, including the authorisation of postal service providers
• Investigating interference to radio services and ensuring compliance with wireless telegraphy legislation
