Licensing & Services
Register to provide a service
In accordance with the Communications Regulation (Premium Rate Services and Electronic Communications Infrastructure) Act 2010, providers of specified Premium Rate Services are required to obtain a licence to enable them to legally provide specified Premium Rate Services. ComReg would encourage specified Premium Rate Service Providers to follow the Guidelines when completing the Application Form.
As well as a Premium Rate Service Licence certain Services also require an Authorised Service Certificate. An Authorised Service Certificate is required if the Service is:
a) a Chatline Service;
b) a Service advertised as being for the benefit of a Charitable or Non-Profit Organisation;
c) a Sexual Entertainment Service;
d) a Subscription Service;
e) a Service operated by internet dialler software, or
f) a Quiz Television Service.
There is no charge for the Certificate. Please click here for an Authorised Service Application Form (10/53R).
