ComReg has conducted a number of residential and business surveys since 1999 and has published these in order to better inform stakeholders on opinions and attitudes of consumers in Ireland with regard to communications services as well as their current usage of and future needs for communications services.
Postal surveys fulfill an important role given that it not only serves to better inform postal consumers but additionally provides valuable insight for the industry as the postal market evolves. This approach is complementary with ComReg’s stated objective to help nurture competition as many smaller operators could simply not afford to undertake research of this nature independently.
