ComReg’s activities in the area of compliance are founded on ComReg’s functions and objectives as laid down in the Communications Regulation Act, 2002 as amended by the Communications Regulation (Amendment) Act 2007.ComReg’s compliance functions include monitoring ongoing compliance with obligations, enforcing existing obligations, and handling formal disputes. This is in line with ComReg objectives which are:
- to promote competition
- to contribute to the development of the internal market, and
- to promote the interests of users within the community.
