A key organisational strategy for ComReg has been to position ComReg as a recognised centre of excellence and independent accreditations by external bodies have provided us with the opportunity to benchmark our processes with other organisations, to obtain independent recognition of best practice standards and provide assurance for its stakeholders. ComReg has indeed received external recognition and has been awarded a number of major awards for its human resources, consumer service and Information technology functions, including;
Human Resources Function
- Excellence Through People/ FAS national standard since 2002.
- Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) National Training Award in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
- Engineers Ireland accreditation for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) since 2003. Winner of CPD Company of the Year Special Merit awards in 2005 and 2006.
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) accreditation for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) since 2005.
- O2 Ability Award winner 2007.
Consumer Service/ Information Technology Function
- Eircom/ Inside Government Merit Award for our website (www.callcosts.ie) in April 2007.
- Golden Spider Award for best public sector website (www.callcosts.ie) in November 2006.
- Public Service Excellence Award for our website (www.callcosts.ie) in February 2006.
