Radio Amateur Equipment Notification

The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is preparing to open the 2300 – 2400 MHz Band for the provision of additional licensed services on a nationwide basis. Radio Amateur users have designated use of the 2300 – 2400 MHz band on a secondary basis and there is currently no plan to alter this allocation.

As part of the preparation for the licensing of the 2300 – 2400 MHz band, ComReg is conducting a spectrum monitoring campaign. In order not to inadvertently affect the legitimate operations of Radio Amateurs, ComReg is seeking a once-off notification of the use of transmitter equipment in this band.

Your assistance in this matter is appreciated. Equipment operating in any part of the band may be notified by filling in the form attached to this webpage and emailed to 2.3ghzinfo@comreg.ie along with any queries you may have.
