{"id":90476,"date":"2016-03-07T11:36:39","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T11:36:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/comreg.ie.grigore"},"modified":"2021-10-02T18:31:46","modified_gmt":"2021-10-02T18:31:46","slug":"rialu-seirbhisi","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/tionsclaiocht\/rialachan-poist\/rialu-post\/rialu-seirbhisi\/","title":{"rendered":"Rial\u00fa Seirbhis\u00ed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span lang=\"en\">Regulation of An Post&#8217;s universal postal services<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">As the designated universal postal service provider (\u201cUSP\u201d), the 2011 Act sets out the basic requirements of the universal service which An Post must provide to everyone and every organisation in the Republic of Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>This involves at least one collection and one delivery on every working day of letters, packets and parcels up to 20kg in weight; the provision of a registered items service, an insured items service and postal services free of charge for blind and partially sighted persons. ComReg has granted An Post a derogation from the universal postal service in respect of certain working days \u2013 for more details see <a href=\"\/csv\/downloads\/ComReg14135.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ComReg Document 14\/135<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally ComReg is required by the 2011 Act to \u201cmake regulations specifying the services to be provided by a universal postal service provider relating to the provision of a universal postal service\u201d.
