The main organisations to which ComReg provides data are outlined below:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cso.ie\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Central Statistics Office (CSO)<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 CSO is Ireland\u2019s national statistical office. CSO collects, compiles, extracts and disseminates information relating to economic, social and general activities and conditions in the State for statistical purposes. The CSO is also responsible for coordinating the official statistics of other public authorities and for developing the statistical potential of administrative records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) \u2013 BEREC contributes to the development and better functioning of the internal market for electronic communications networks and services. It does so, by aiming to ensure a consistent application of the EU regulatory framework and by aiming to promote an effective internal market in telecoms sector, in order to bring even greater benefits to consumers and businesses alike.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, BEREC assists the Commission and the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) in implementing the EU regulatory framework for electronic communications. It provides advice on request and on its own initiative to the European institutions and complements at European level the regulatory tasks performed at national level by the NRAs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/digital-single-market\/scoreboard\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The European Commission (the EC)<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 the EC\u2019s Digital Scoreboard measures progress of the European digital economy through various reports and studies including European Digital Progress Reports (EDPR).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Telecommunications Unit (ITU)<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; ITU is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies \u2013 ICTs. ITU allocates global radio spectrum and satellite orbits, develops the technical standards that ensure networks and technologies seamlessly interconnect, and strives to improve access to ICTs to underserved communities worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The OECD supports policy makers in identifying challenges and addressing them through appropriate policies.
