These include the function of acting as a Single Information Point (\u201cSIP\u201d) as set out at Regulation 10(1)(c):<\/p>\n<p>c) the functions of the single information point \u201c\u2026\u201c regarding access to information provided to the single information point by network operators and to facilitate access via a single information point to information regarding statutory permits for civil works required to develop elements of a highspeed electronic communications network including, where appropriate, exempted development provisions and the conditions and procedures applicable to granting a statutory permit.<\/p>\n<p>The SIP will facilitate access to relevant information regarding:<\/p>\n<p>i. permits, licenses or consents for civil works required to develop elements of a high-speed electronic communications network; and<\/p>\n<p>ii. the procedures applicable to granting permits, licenses or consents.<\/p>\n<p>Information provided to ComReg which is within the scope of the SIP (i.e. regarding permits for civil works or information regarding civil works) may be made available subject to a request.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 63px;\" border=\"3\" width=\"239\" cellspacing=\"3\" cellpadding=\"3\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/media\/2016\/09\/Single-Information-Point-PDF-01-11-16.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"This link will open in a new window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Single Information Point<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regulation 10(1) of the Broadband Cost Reduction Regulations sets out the functions of the Commission for Communications Regulation (&#8220;ComReg&#8221;).
