Generally this licence is used to provide wireless broadband services to business and residential customers.<\/p>\n<p>There are two spectrum bands identified for FWALA licensing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10.5 GHz band<\/li>\n<li>26 GHz band<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The applicant should read ComReg\u2019s guidance information to familiarise themselves with the licensing scheme and the application requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Fixed Wireless Access Local Area &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/media\/2016\/04\/FWALA_17R9-Guidelines.pdf\">Licence Guidance Notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application form<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The application form should be completed and submitted to ComReg along with the full licence fee<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/media\/2016\/04\/FWALA-application-form-0617aR3.pdf\">REVISED APPLICATION FORM FOR FWALA LICENCES<\/a><\/p>\n<p>APPLICATION FORM FOR GEOGRAPHICAL SERVICE AREA (GSA) FOR FIXED WIRELESS ACCESS LOCAL AREA (FWALA) LICENCES\u00a0available <a href=\"mailto:licensing@comreg.ie\">licensing@comreg.ie<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Fees\/Fee Calculator<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The licence fees to be paid on, grant of and on each renewal of a FWALA licence are as set out below.<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"254\"><strong>Bandwidth (Paired channel)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"228\"><strong><em>Licence Fee (\u20ac)<\/em><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"254\">Up to 7MHz<\/td>\n<td width=\"228\"><em>1500<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"254\">Over 7 MHz and up to 14 MHz<\/td>\n<td width=\"228\"><em>2000<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"254\"><em>Over 14 MHz and up to 28 MHz<\/em><\/td>\n<td width=\"228\"><em>2800<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Table 1: Schedule of Fees<\/p>\n<p>Where a licence is granted for a portion of a year the licence fee to be paid by the licensee shall be calculated as follows:<\/p>\n<p>A x (B\/12) = C<\/p>\n<p>Where:<\/p>\n<p>A is the relevant annual licence fee (e.g. \u20ac2800);<\/p>\n<p>B is the number of whole months for which the licence is granted (if a licence is granted for a period of less than one month then, for the purpose of these calculations only, the licence shall be considered as a licence granted for a period of one month);
