Railway Mobile Radio (“RMR”) is a dedicated non-public radio communication system for voice and data services supporting railway operations. It comprises two radio systems: GSM-R (Global System for\u00a0 Mobile Communications – Railways) and FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System) that may be implemented both at the same time or each of them independently.\u00a0 Decision (EU) 2021\/1730 requires Member States to designate and make available on a non exclusive basis the paired frequency bands 874.4-880.0 MHz, 919.4-925.0 MHz (the \u201c900 MHz Band\u201d) and 1 900 – 1 910 MHz (the \u201c1.9 GHz Band\u201d) for RMR (based on national demand).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t
