ComReg is hiring a Telecoms Analyst to join the Numbering Team as part of the Market Framework Division.<\/p>\n
ComReg\u2019s Market Framework Division is responsible for managing both Ireland\u2019s radio spectrum and its telecoms numbering scheme. We conduct spectrum awards, issue radio licences and assign telephone numbers. Market Framework\u2019s numbering team also recently introduced measures to significantly reduce the cost of calling non-geographic numbers and to streamline their use. We\u2019ve also introduced a new numbering framework to cater for the dramatic growth of the Internet-of-Things (IoT). The team is currently researching how eSIM technologies and Over-the-Air (OTA) provisioning could revolutionise how we sign up for new mobile and IoT services, and simplify the process of switching between service providers.<\/p>\n
