{"id":120503,"date":"2022-04-01T09:23:24","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T09:23:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=120503"},"modified":"2023-08-28T11:26:25","modified_gmt":"2023-08-28T11:26:25","slug":"comreg-consumer-news-q1-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/comreg-consumer-news-q1-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"ComReg Consumer News Q1 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the first quarter of 2022 (January to March), ComReg\u2019s consumer news and publications included the following:<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>compliance <\/strong>work was highlighted in consumer news about ComReg issuing an <a href=\"\/comreg-issues-an-opinion-of-non-compliance-to-vodafone-ireland-limited-in-relation-to-porting-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Opinion of Non-Compliance to Vodafone<\/a> regarding imposing a direct monthly charge on certain customers to port their number to Clear Mobile; and about <a href=\"\/three-refunds-173000-customers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Three refunding approximately 173,000 of around \u20ac2.6 million<\/a> for both post cancellation charges and other credits that remained on inactive accounts.<\/p>\n<p>In respect of <strong>research and reports<\/strong> our consumer news highlighted the <a href=\"\/comreg-publishes-consumer-line-statistics-report-q4-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Q4 Consumer Line Statistics<\/a> with details of issues raised by consumers who contacted its Consumer Care team during the last three months of 2021. ComReg also published Eir\u2019s Universal Service Quality of Service performance data for <a href=\"\/publication\/universal-service-requirements-provision-of-access-at-a-fixed-location-afl-by-eircom-limited-quality-of-service-performance-data-q4-2021-1-october-31-december-ytd-2021-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Q4 2021 &amp; YTD 2021\/2022<\/a> and information on the <a href=\"\/publication\/implementation-of-eu-roaming-regulation-by-irish-mobile-companies-27th-wave-of-irish-and-eu-aggregated-data-1-october-2020-to-31-march-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">implementation of EU Roaming Regulation by Irish mobile companies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, our consumer news <strong>informed consumers<\/strong> of ComReg\u2019s conclusion of a three-year implementation project to improve Ireland\u2019s <a href=\"\/comreg-completes-overhaul-of-non-geographic-number-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">non-geographic number platform<\/a>\u00a0and a reminder to consumers that organisations using 1850, 1890, or 076 Non-Geographic Numbers (NGNs) have changed their numbers and to check online for the new numbers.
