{"id":125249,"date":"2023-07-28T14:41:39","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T14:41:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=125249"},"modified":"2023-09-13T11:18:07","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T11:18:07","slug":"three-credits-25500-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/three-credits-25500-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"Three credits 25,500 customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ComReg has notified Three of a finding of non-compliance under its obligations with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/advice-information\/premium-rate\/code-of-practice\/\">Premium Rate Services (PRS) Code of Practice<\/a> and the conditions of its PRS licences.<\/p>\n<p>Three stated it has credited a total of \u20ac140,600 to 25,500 customers who were charged in excess of the actual cost of the PRS SMS.<\/p>\n<p>Three stated it has taken measures to remedy the non-compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Full details are in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/media\/2023\/07\/ComReg-2372.pdf\">Information Notice<\/a> published on ComReg\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ComReg\u2019s PRS Checker<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve received a text message from a five-digit number beginning with the number 5, for example 57XXX, you can visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/servicechecker\/\">Service Checker<\/a> tool to check the details of any Premium Rate Service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to unsubscribe or block a PRS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to unsubscribe from a mobile premium rate service, send a text message to the five-digit number for the service with the word STOP. You should be unsubscribed within 24 to 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>You can also block premium rate text messages from your mobile if you are a customer of eir Mobile, Three or Vodafone.
