{"id":127531,"date":"2024-01-02T09:29:30","date_gmt":"2024-01-02T09:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=127531"},"modified":"2024-02-13T12:27:21","modified_gmt":"2024-02-13T12:27:21","slug":"comreg-consumer-news-q4-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/comreg-consumer-news-q4-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"ComReg Consumer News Q4 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the fourth quarter of 2023 (October to December), ComReg\u2019s consumer news and publications included the following:<\/p>\n<p>We <strong>informed consumers<\/strong> about<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>some of the most important things to consider at the different stages of entering into a <a href=\"\/what-to-consider-when-entering-into-a-contract-for-phone-or-internet-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contract for phone or broadband<\/a> services;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/pricing-of-phone-and-broadband-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pricing of phone and broadband<\/a> services and finding a cheaper deal if a service provider increases its prices;<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"\/latest-posting-dates-for-christmas-delivery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">latest posting dates<\/a> for Christmas delivery;<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"\/comreg-consumer-care-christmas-and-new-year-opening-hours\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">operating hours<\/a> our Consumer Care team was available to offer advice and information over Christmas and New Year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We <strong>advised consumers<\/strong> to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>visit ComReg\u2019s <a href=\"\/charged-for-an-unexpected-call-or-text-on-your-phone-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PRS Checker<\/a> if charged for an unexpected call or text;<\/li>\n<li>visit ComReg\u2019s <a href=\"\/need-help-choosing-the-best-deals-on-black-friday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consumer tools<\/a> to help choose the best mobile and broadband services on Black Friday and Cyber Monday;<\/li>\n<li>contact our <a href=\"\/our-consumer-care-team-is-here-to-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consumer Care<\/a> team if you have an unresolved complaint about your phone or broadband service;<\/li>\n<li>continue to be <a href=\"\/continue-to-be-vigilant-against-scams-this-festive-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vigilant against scams<\/a> during the festive season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In terms of <strong>research and reports<\/strong> we<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>published a <a href=\"\/report-shows-irish-postal-deliveries-are-down-from-covid-peak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report on Irish Postal Deliveries<\/a> data which shows the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic had on parcel deliveries;<\/li>\n<li>extended the <a href=\"\/consultation-deadline-extended-to-15-november-for-the-review-of-service-provider-accessibility-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deadline for submissions<\/a> to the consultation on the review of Service Provider Accessibility Requirements and <a href=\"\/consultation-deadline-of-15-november-approaching-for-the-review-of-service-provider-accessibility-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reminded consumers when that deadline<\/a> was approaching;<\/li>\n<li>published <a href=\"\/comreg-publishes-consumer-care-statistics-report-q3-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Q3 Consumer Care Statistics<\/a> with details of issues raised by consumers who contacted ComReg\u2019s Consumer Care team from 1 July to 30 September 2023;<\/li>\n<li>published our <a href=\"\/comreg-publishes-postal-strategy-statement-2024-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Postal Strategy Statement 2024-2026<\/a> following a public consultation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the fourth quarter of 2023 (October to December), ComReg\u2019s consumer news and publications included the following: We informed consumers about some of the most &hellip;
