{"id":128888,"date":"2024-04-08T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T14:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=128888"},"modified":"2024-05-30T16:06:55","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T16:06:55","slug":"comreg-consumer-news-q1-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/comreg-consumer-news-q1-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"ComReg Consumer News Q1 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the first quarter of 2024 (January to March), ComReg\u2019s consumer news and publications included the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>We <strong>informed consumers<\/strong> about<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>how to <a href=\"\/how-to-top-up-a-pay-as-you-go-mobile-phone-account-without-leaving-your-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">top-up a \u2018pay as you go\u2019<\/a> mobile phone account;<\/li>\n<li>the options available with <a href=\"\/what-are-my-options-with-electronic-or-paper-bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">electronic and paper bills<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>making a <a href=\"\/making-a-complaint-to-your-service-provider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complaint to your service provider<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>the requirement for <a href=\"\/did-you-know-your-broadband-speed-should-be-in-your-contract\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">broadband speed<\/a> to be in your contract;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/airfibre-is-ceasing-operations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Airfibre ceasing<\/a> operations;<\/li>\n<li>phone and broadband <a href=\"\/phone-and-broadband-price-increases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">price increases<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We <strong>advised consumers<\/strong> to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>visit our stand at <a href=\"\/visit-us-at-the-50-plus-show-in-dublin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The 50 Plus Show<\/a> in the RDS, Dublin;<\/li>\n<li>subscribe to our <a href=\"\/subscribe-to-our-consumer-news-e-alerts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consumer news e-alerts<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In terms of <strong>research and reports<\/strong> we<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>published <a href=\"\/comreg-publishes-consumer-care-statistics-report-q4-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Q4 Consumer Care Statistics<\/a> with details of issues raised by consumers who contacted ComReg\u2019s Consumer Care team from 1 November to 31 December 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our <strong>compliance actions<\/strong> included<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>publication of information on <a href=\"\/three-ireland-implements-remedial-measures-in-relation-to-providing-its-customers-with-pricing-and-tariff-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Three Ireland\u2019s implementation of remedial measures<\/a> in relation to providing its customers with Pricing and Tariff information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the first quarter of 2024 (January to March), ComReg\u2019s consumer news and publications included the following: \u00a0We informed consumers about how to top-up a &hellip;
