{"id":129061,"date":"2024-04-22T15:32:53","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T15:32:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=129061"},"modified":"2024-06-05T16:07:46","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T16:07:46","slug":"what-are-my-options-with-paper-or-electronic-bills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/what-are-my-options-with-paper-or-electronic-bills\/","title":{"rendered":"What are my options with paper or electronic bills?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong><u>What is electronic billing?<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Your electronic or paperless bill from your service provider may be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sent to you by email; or<\/li>\n<li>Made available through your online account; or<\/li>\n<li>Made available through a mobile app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your service provider must let you know when your electronic bill is available online.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot access and use an electronic bill, you are entitled to a paper bill.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Phone and Internet Services<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You can request paper billing, free-of-charge, from your service provider if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cannot reasonably access or use an electronic bill after you receive it;<\/li>\n<li>have a disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you can access and use an electronic bill, service providers may provide electronic bills by default, or they may switch to electronic billing.<\/p>\n<p>You can also request a paper bill from your service provider if you can access an online bill however, you may be charged a fee.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Phone Services only (with no Internet)<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have a voice only service and do not have broadband, you are entitled to a paper bill in the post, free-of-charge, from your phone service provider.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Prepaid Services<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have a pre-paid service (usually mobile), you are entitled to request your transaction details from your service provider. Your service provider must give you these:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>free-of-charge;<\/li>\n<li>in a format that you can access; and<\/li>\n<li>within a reasonable period of time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have <a href=\"\/advice-information\/billing-and-disputed-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">advice and information on billing<\/a>, which includes information on methods of billing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is electronic billing?
