This means that you can use your mobile service just like you would at home when travelling in the EU (as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway).<\/p>\n<p>When travelling in the EU you should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be informed about charges and any fair use data limit that may apply;<\/li>\n<li>be informed about services that may incur additional costs when calling from abroad, such as customer service numbers or helpdesks;<\/li>\n<li>be notified when you reach a fair use limit;<\/li>\n<li>be made aware of additional charges for using roaming services on so-called non terrestrial networks such as satellite networks available on airplanes or boats;<\/li>\n<li>get a reminder message of the 112 emergency service and options available to you;<\/li>\n<li>get spend alert notifications when you reach data roaming limits;<\/li>\n<li>be able to use mobile services in the same way as at home, where technically feasible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have advice and information on <a href=\"\/advice-information\/roaming-2\/using-your-mobile-within-the-eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">using your mobile in the EU<\/a>, which includes outlining which EU country allows \u2018roam like at home\u2019 and the limits on how much you can be charged when roaming in the EU.<\/p>\n<p>When you travel in the EU, you can test the quality of your network with <a href=\"https:\/\/netbravo.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/en\/MapHome\/Index#\/45.40471958568699,18.5888671875,5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">netBravo<\/a>, a tool developed by the European Commission. You can download the app on <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/netbravo\/id1087861078?mt=8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apple<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=eu.europa.ec.netbravo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Android<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roaming outside the EU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cost of roaming outside the EU differs from country to country and can be notably higher compared to roaming in the EU.<\/p>\n<p>If you plan to travel beyond the EU, we advise you to contact your service provider before your trip and check the roaming charges in your destination country.
