{"id":133406,"date":"2025-02-24T14:50:25","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T14:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/?p=133406"},"modified":"2025-04-03T10:29:20","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T10:29:20","slug":"what-are-my-choices-for-paper-or-electronic-bills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comreg.ie\/ga\/what-are-my-choices-for-paper-or-electronic-bills\/","title":{"rendered":"What are my choices for paper or electronic bills?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>What is electronic billing?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Your electronic or paperless bill from your service provider may be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sent to you by email; or<\/li>\n<li>Accessible through your online account; or<\/li>\n<li>Made available through a mobile app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your service provider must let you know when your electronic bill is available online.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot access and use an electronic bill, you have the right to receive a paper bill.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Phone and Internet Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You have the option to request paper billing at no cost from your service provider if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cannot reasonably access or use an electronic bill after receiving it;<\/li>\n<li>have a disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you can access and use an electronic bill, service providers may automatically send electronic bills.<\/p>\n<p>You can also request a paper bill from your service provider if you can access an online bill although you may be charged a fee.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Phone Services only (without Internet)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have a voice-only service and do not have broadband, you are entitled to a paper bill in the post at no cost from your phone service provider.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Prepaid Services<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you have a pre-paid service, often seen with mobile plans, you have the right to request your transaction details from your service provider.
