Price increases can be calculated in different ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>using inflation metrics such as the Consumer Price Index (CPI);<\/li>\n<li>a fixed percentage;<\/li>\n<li>both CPI and a fixed percentage; or<\/li>\n<li>a set monthly amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These built-in price increases usually occur in April each year. <a href=\"\/compare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ComReg Compare<\/a> can assist you in finding broadband and phone plans that don\u2019t have these increases, and also provides details of the increases where they apply.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to anticipate any annual price increases for phone and broadband services you plan to subscribe to.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>New contracts for phone and broadband services<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We do not set or approve retail prices, however, we advise you check your new contract\u2019s terms for potential price increases.
