Overall, fixed broadband subscriber lines increased to 1.76 million, an increase of 4.4% compared to Q3 2024.<\/p>\n<p>ComReg also today\u00a0updated the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdatamaps-comreg.hub.arcgis.com%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cclodagh.mcginley%40comreg.ie%7Cb32304d1e12547f0eb3e08de38a80c98%7C7e3063639dee4b8d8a6b4fee706b37fa%7C0%7C0%7C639010491608494115%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=MxZ%2FSRpi%2FWHsSJaui9oqTbJB6cJs%2BaOv%2F0hivXofLfg%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Open Data Map Hub<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0include\u00a0Q3\u00a0data\u00a0on\u00a0Coverage and Take-Up of Gigabit Broadband (FTTP and Cable) by\u00a0County, Electoral\u00a0Division\u00a0and other geographical areas\u00a0across Ireland.\u00a0The counties with the highest level of FTTP coverage are Longford and Westmeath at 94%, Westmeath has the highest level of Gigabit coverage at 96%.<\/p>\n<p>FTTP\u00a0is the most purchased\u00a0broadband technology\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0available\u00a0at\u00a081%\u00a0of all\u00a0premises\u00a0in Ireland.\u00a0Gigabit\u00a0broadband is available at\u00a089%\u00a0of all\u00a0premises\u00a0in Ireland.\u00a0In terms of\u00a0FTTP\u00a0take up,\u00a051% of\u00a0all premises\u00a0with FTTP\u00a0available\u00a0had an active\u00a0FTTP service\u00a0at the end of\u00a0Q3\u00a02025.<\/p>\n<p>On a monthly basis an average residential\u00a0fixed\u00a0broadband subscriber\u00a0line\u00a0used\u00a0518\u00a0GB\u00a0of data,\u00a0an\u00a0increase of\u00a015%\u00a0since\u00a0Q3\u00a02024.\u00a0Businesses\u00a0have used 369.2\u00a0GB of data, an increase of\u00a05%\u00a0compared to Q3\u00a02024.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0Q3\u00a02025, approximately\u00a069%\u00a0of\u00a0fixed\u00a0broadband\u00a0subscriber\u00a0lines\u00a0had\u00a0purchased\u00a0broadband with speeds greater\u00a0or equal to\u00a0500Mbps,\u00a0up from\u00a059%\u00a0in\u00a0Q3\u00a02024, while\u00a022%\u00a0purchased\u00a0broadband\u00a0speeds greater than\u00a0or equal to\u00a01Gbps.\u00a0Of the\u00a01,004,388\u00a0FTTP subscriber\u00a0lines,\u00a093%\u00a0have\u00a0broadband\u00a0speeds greater\u00a0than or\u00a0equal to\u00a0500 Mbps.<\/p>\n<p>Total mobile subscriptions (including mobile broadband and machine-to-machine\u00a0(M2M)) increased to\u00a010.7\u00a0million\u00a0in\u00a0Q3\u00a02025\u00a0&#8211; driven by a rise in\u00a0bill pay\u00a0subscriptions which\u00a0represent\u00a077% of all mobile subscriptions.\u00a05G subscribers\u00a0increased to\u00a02.4\u00a0million\u00a0in\u00a0Q3\u00a02025,\u00a0an increase of\u00a032% since\u00a0Q3\u00a02024.<\/p>\n<p>On a monthly basis an average mobile\u00a0voice subscriber\u00a0used\u00a0150\u00a0minutes,\u00a0sent\u00a033\u00a0texts\u00a0(5%\u00a0annual\u00a0decrease), and used\u00a020GB\u00a0of data\u00a0(11%\u00a0annual\u00a0increase).<\/p>\n<p>The Quarterly Key Data Report for\u00a0Q3\u00a02025\u00a0is available on the ComReg website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.comreg.ie%2Fpublications&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cclodagh.mcginley%40comreg.ie%7Cb32304d1e12547f0eb3e08de38a80c98%7C7e3063639dee4b8d8a6b4fee706b37fa%7C0%7C0%7C639010491608536092%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=zMEWoBMledUyQH99WgpbHXQbLtPlv5a%2BAqrVmDy0CBI%3D&amp;reserved=0\">www.comreg.ie\/publications<\/a>.
