As part of The Digital Regulators Group (DRG), ComReg welcomes the publication of Digital Ireland \u2013 Connecting our People, Securing our Future, the National Digital & AI Strategy 2030.\u00a0 The members of the DRG \u2013 the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Coimisi\u00fan na Me\u00e1n (CnaM), the Data Protection Commission (DPC) and the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) \u2013 strongly support the Strategy\u2019s ambition to position Ireland as a trusted, future\u2011focused digital regulatory hub.<\/p>\n
The DRG particularly welcomes the Government\u2019s commitment to strengthening the DRG, enhancing regulatory coordination, and in particular, ensuring that Ireland\u2019s digital regulators are well\u2011resourced to meet the challenges presented in the digital space. Improved cooperation, streamlined regulatory processes and stronger cross\u2011agency engagement are important tools to provide a strong regulatory environment for people and businesses alike.<\/p>\n
The DRG looks forward to continued collaboration across regulators and government in advancing a fair digital economy.<\/p>\n
