Overall, fixed broadband subscriber lines increased to 1.77\u00a0million, an increase of 4% compared to Q1\u00a02025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ComReg\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdatamaps-comreg.hub.arcgis.com%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cclodagh.mcginley%40comreg.ie%7C886a5d1efadc4810986a08dec7abf437%7C7e3063639dee4b8d8a6b4fee706b37fa%7C0%7C0%7C639167738524274032%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=axzoJGWUGH5D00EiXt5aAFH3YOjVDSD1nXpNfVbu2Fc%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Open Data Map Hub<\/a>\u00a0includes\u00a0Q1\u00a0data\u00a0on\u00a0Coverage and Take-Up of Gigabit Broadband (FTTP and Cable) by\u00a0County, Electoral\u00a0Division\u00a0and other geographical areas\u00a0across Ireland.\u00a0The county\u00a0with the highest level of FTTP coverage\u00a0is\u00a0Westmeath at 95%, Westmeath\u00a0and Longford\u00a0have\u00a0the highest level of Gigabit coverage at 96%.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FTTP\u00a0is the most purchased\u00a0broadband technology\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0available\u00a0at\u00a086%\u00a0of all\u00a0premises\u00a0in Ireland.\u00a0Gigabit\u00a0broadband is available at\u00a091%\u00a0of all\u00a0premises\u00a0in Ireland.\u00a0In terms of\u00a0FTTP\u00a0take up,\u00a052%\u00a0of\u00a0all premises\u00a0with FTTP\u00a0available\u00a0had an active\u00a0FTTP service\u00a0at the end of\u00a0Q1\u00a02026.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On a monthly basis an average residential fixed broadband subscriber line used 564 GB of data, an increase of 13% since Q1 2025.
