ComReg is the Market Surveillance Authority (MSA) in Ireland for the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC). The functions and powers derived from these regulatory frameworks protect product end-users from unsafe products and protect businesses from unfair competition. Radio Equipment (RE) is any electrical or electronic product which intentionally emits and/or receives radiowaves for the purpose of radio communication and/or radio-determination.
