During the second quarter of 2026 (April to June), ComReg had a range of news for consumers that included some of the following topics:
We informed consumers about
- what an eSIM is;
- Real Time Text (RTT);
- how to find the best broadband in your area;
- the requirement for phone and internet providers to publish a Customer Charter;
- new customs rules for online purchases from outside the EU, including Great Britain;
- the requirement for your contract to include broadband speeds;
- a European Commission survey for business postal users.
We advised consumers to
- get to know the different types of broadband;
- visit our stand at The 50 Plus Show in Limerick in May and Sligo in July;
- check mobile coverage on ComReg’s mobile coverage map;
- be vigilant against scam calls and texts;
- find the phone and broadband plan that fits your needs.
