Your contract should include broadband speed

Your internet service provider must include specific information in your contract about:
  • minimum, normally available, maximum and advertised download and upload speed for home broadband;
  • estimated maximum and advertised download and upload speeds for mobile internet.
It’s important to shop around and compare options for the best value for your broadband service. Before you sign a contract, make sure the provider gives you a Contract Summary outlining the main terms clearly. We have advice and information on requirements for broadband speed information to be included in contracts. If you are considering a new broadband provider, our online tool helps you compare price plans from different providers to find the best plan to fit your needs.
