Review of Non-Geographic Numbers

As part of its role to manage telephone numbers, protect consumers and promote competition, ComReg is consulting on proposals for improving the Non-Geographic Number (NGN) platform for the following classes of Non-Geographic Numbers (NGNs) ‘1800’, ‘1850’, ‘1890’, ‘0818’ and ‘076’.

The consultation document and related documentation, as well as an infographic and animation summarising ComReg’s preliminary findings and proposals are linked below.

ComReg would like to hear from all interested parties on its proposals and will consider all submissions before deciding on next steps. Chapter 7 of the consultation document (ComReg 17/70) details how to submit responses to the consultation.

The public consultation will run until 12 October 2017.
