Battery Back-Up
If the broadband network itself remains powered, consider using a battery back-up to temporarily keep your router and modem working during a power outage to your home and remain connected to the internet.
This is especially useful for a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) landline and may allow you to make and receive calls over the internet during a power cut.
Battery back-up devices are available for purchase, or you can seek advice from your service provider.
