Lakers provides sports, educational, arts and social activities for just over 400 people with in intellectual disability. We are open 6 days a week and offer about 60 different activities to our members with special needs aged 5 to 70. Funds raised will go towards renovating our current premises to create a perfect space for our members.

Every year, we provide services to over 13,000 children and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities in 14 counties across Ireland. Covering childhood to adulthood, our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage.

ONE’s primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans’ Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice.

MADRA rescues and rehabilitates unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs. We are dedicated to looking after the dogs in our care and finding them permanent, loving homes. We are making the 10th anniversary of the ICE Bucket Challenge and we are hoping to raise funds to support those living with MND. The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in this country. It was set up in May 1985 to provide care and support to people with Motor Neurone Disease, their carers, families, and friends. There are currently over 450 people living with MND in Ireland. MND is often referred to as the 1,000 day disease as most people die within 1,000 days of being diagnosed. Our key services include: o Home visiting by our six MND Nurse Specialists o Financial assistance towards home care o Providing specialist medical equipment free of charge to our clients o Assistance towards counselling, travel to and from medical appointments, recharge grant and voice banking grant (these new additional services are a result of Charlie Bird Development fund) o Supporting research into the causes and treatments of MND o Freefone Information support line for clients and families The Association relies heavily on fundraising activities from our members and supporters. We need to raise over 85% of our overall income. It costs approx. 2.4 million to run the Association each year.
