We are a childrens Respite centre and provide a holistic service, supporting both child and family, in a home from home environment for children, male and female, with Autism, intellectual disability or physical and sensory disabilities. The children range in age from 6-18yrs. We are a relatively new charity only opened since February 2014.

Woodie’s Heroes is an annual charity fundraising drive organised by retailer Woodie’s which raises money for 4 different Irish children’s charities each summer. The charities are picked by an internal colleague vote and donations come through stores, online donations and donations from suppliers of the organisation. At the end of the fundraising period, the funds raised are divided equally among the 4 charities. This year the charities are Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, ISPCC Childline, Make-A-Wish & Down Syndrome Ireland.

We give sick children in hospital access to their family pets and/or therapy animals. Families of the sick children are also be supported. No costs arise for the families involved.

MADRA rescues and rehabilitates unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs.We are dedicated to looking after the dogs in our care and finding them permanent, loving homes. Ultimately we want to help create a world where MADRA and rescues like us are no longer needed and so we make it our mission to educate, influence, advocate and support.With our huge community of supporters, we do all of this as a team and by behaving with integrity and compassion and being progressive in every way we can.
