If you are offered a Black Friday price deal for a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless-enabled electronic device, always check that the item you are buying:
- has a CE mark;
- carries an EU Declaration of Conformity; and
- is certified to relevant EU standards.
Whether you are buying in a retail outlet or online, you need to check the item is fully compliant. This is particularly important when buying from outside the EU, including the United Kingdom.
Ask the retailer if it is not clear.
