During the third quarter of 2025 (July to September), ComReg had a range of news for consumers that included some of the following topics:
We informed consumers about
- the launch of Real Time Text (RTT) service in Ireland;
- unregistered Sender IDs being modified to ‘Likely Scam’ from 3 July;
- Rural Wi-Fi becoming part of Imagine;
- checking what broadband is available at their home;
- checking what phone or broadband plan best suits their needs;
- checking what mobile coverage is at their location.
We advised consumers
- to visit our stand at The 50 Plus Show in Sligo;
- to visit our stand at The 50 Plus Show in Cork;
- on how switching broadband service providers is easy
- about a UK Emergency Alerts
In terms of reports and other publications we issued
- the Irish Text Relay Service usage report for January to June;
- our Q2 Consumer Care Report with details of issues raised by consumers who contacted ComReg’s Consumer Care team from April to June 2025;
- our decision on revised requirements for Codes of Practice for Complaints Handling for providers.
