Be vigilant against scam calls and texts

Unfortunately, we are all familiar with scam calls and texts. These are unsolicited communications with an aim to mislead you into sharing personal or financial information. ComReg is working with the telecommunications industry to help combat these scams, but it’s important to stay vigilant. To Stay Scam Safe, remember:
  • S- Stop for a moment and don’t rush to respond to urgent calls or texts. Hang up if pressured.
  • C- Check if you recognise the number. Look for spelling errors or mistakes in texts.
  • A- Avoid answering calls or clicking links. Verify numbers though official contacts.
  • M- Mark persistent or suspicious numbers as spam and block them.
