HR Executive

Reporting to the L&D Specialist, the primary role of the HR Executive is to carry out HR generalist operational tasks.

We are seeking a HR Executive with general HR experience to join our HR team.  This role will suit a person who is committed to delivering high quality work.  Someone with strong experience who holds Respect, Fairness and Excellence as key values and likes to work as part of a team dedicated to achieving objectives and supporting each other.  They will be strong on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation to support a range of HR activities.

Corporate Services Division (CSD)

The HR team are located in the Corporate Services Division (CSD).  The Corporate Services Division develops and implements corporate affairs and communications strategies designed to enhance our organisational performance and effectiveness. It is a key function, supporting all other Divisions across ComReg in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Public Relations, and Facilities Management.

The Role

Reporting to the L&D Specialist, the primary role of the HR Executive is to carry out HR generalist operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with team colleagues to deliver a cohesive HR service including policy review, health and safety, employment law issues, recruitment, and HR systems management.
  • Ensure legal compliance is met in all HR activities and business is delivered in line with values and our Code of Conduct and organisational Respect programme.
  • Review the HR intranet site and make and follow up on change proposals to ensure information reaches the end user.
  • Lead and contributing to HR projects as required.
  • Respond to queries from both managers and employees in line with team standards.
  • Act as Facilitator by providing opportunities for collaboration through planned gatherings and discussions on specific topics.
  • Embed the performance management processes.
  • Assist with the recruitment and HR operations process as necessary.
  • Develop /update policies, procedures, templates, and guidance documents when required.
  • Manage the organisational induction programme and work with stakeholders to oversee the seamless process of on-boarding new staff.
  • Procure and manage outsourced service providers and ensure ComReg standards are upheld.
  • Design and deliver agreed interventions and workshops to support delivery of projects and the L&D Plan
  • Produce metrics and use these metrics to reach conclusions and story tell.
  • Provide L&D programme support and administration.
  • Manage Purchase Orders ensuring prompt payment in line with procurement requirements.
  • Lead and manage the organisational wellbeing programme.

Qualifications and Experience

In order to be considered for this role your CV must reflect the following criteria;

Essential

  • Degree in Human Resource Management (or equivalent)
  • Experience in general HR practice areas –learning and development, employee wellbeing and engagement, performance management, recruitment, education, compensation and benefits, employment legislation.
  • Demonstrable outsourced services management.
  • Proven facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to successful outcomes.
  • Understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and drafting skills.
  • Confident and articulate with proven ability to communicate courteously and professionally.
  • Understanding of the nuances between private and public sector

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a HR role in the public sector
  • CIPD Accreditation
  • Basics of project management
