Division overview 

The Corporate Services Team

The Corporate Services Division develops and implements corporate affairs and communications strategies designed to enhance our organisational performance and effectiveness. It is a key function, supporting all other Divisions across ComReg in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Public Relations, and Facilities Management.

The role and responsibilities 

This role will be reporting to the IT Operations Manager and will be part of an IT Team with responsibility for managing the IT Infrastructure and Operations for the Commission.

They will have responsibility for the following:

• Administration and support of the Commission’s M365 environment, including Exchange, One Drive, Teams, SharePoint Online

• Administration and support of the Azure environment; ensuring that the infrastructure is appropriately sized and performant

• Review and active monitoring of the IT Infrastructure, and endpoint devices, ensuring that they are secure, compliant, and that relevant software and security updates are applied

• Liaise with Service Providers, ensure SLAs are adhered to and actively monitored through reporting and regular engagement

• Contribute, participate and support the IT Department in the management and delivery of IT projects and their handover to Operations

• Develop, review and validate IT procedures and processes, with adherence to best practices and ITIL guidelines

• Provide support to internal stakeholders for application related deployments

• Assist and participate in public procurement and contract management

Qualifications and Experience required 

Essential

• Third level qualification degree, or equivalent in IT

• Minimum of three years relevant experience of administering and supporting M365 and Azure environments

• In-depth knowledge and experience of the M365 application suite.

• Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of Intune for endpoint device management and software distribution

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and analyse IT issues, and identification of root cause

Desirable 

• ITIL certification

• Relevant industry certification in M365 and / or Azure

• Relevant experience of IT Project Management and delivery

• Experience of administering VMware environments.

• Understanding and awareness of emergent IT technologies
